Cindy Sisler Simms is a quiltmaker, quilt designer and quilt teacher, who has been teaching quilting locally, regionally and overseas for over 28 years.  She also designs and makes commissioned quilts and designs one-of-a-kind quilts for individuals and groups as well as for herself.

Locally, Cindy teaches a 9 week Basic Hand Piecing/Quilting Class along with
her other workshops, on piecing both traditional and contemporary designs, how to design your own -- both pieced and appliqué, several different classes on Baltimore Album appliqué -- traditional and beyond, workshops on Mariner's Compasses and how easy they are to construct, paper piecing patterns, miniature quilts, quilter's accessories, wearable art vests -- along with many other workshops.

Cindy also loves creating pieces for herself with ideas no matter the design, using unusual fabrics, embellishments and glitz mixed with cottons and cotton/polyester to create different textures and also encourages students to experiment with non-traditional fabrics in their quilted pieces to create their own textures.

Contract Cindy to find out more about her workshops and to receive a brochure.

In the workshops you will construct 2 mariner's compasses - one round traditional and the other is an oval with some surprising twists that the teacher has designed.

Hummers & Trumpets Stained Glass - all day workshop

Create this charming wall quilt in bright summer colors to capture the beauty of summer to decorate your home during the winter months. Create this quilt using
two different methods to achieve the stained glass effect. This workshop requires the use of a sewing machine and individuals should be comfortable with the use of their machine.
